    If you signed up a contract, please share your story with others here!!!

    As many of you on this forum are aware, we just started seeing applicants starting to sign up an enlistment contract through the MAVNI program. I thought that we had better have a forum to share your story and information with others.

    When posting your sign-up log, please be generous enough to share the following information with others.

    (1) Your area: City, State
    (2) Category: Language/HCP
    (3) Language (or Specialty):
    (4) Job (MOS/AOC):
    (5) Sign up Date:
    (6) Ship out Date:

    For your privacy, you don't need to share your name or other private information of yours. Information above, however, will enlighten other fellow MAVNI applicants with the timeframe of processing, with job availability, with lead time of DEP, etc. Thanks in advance for your participation!

    P.S: According to DoD, ship date to BCT is NOT an OPSEC issue. You are ok to post your ship date. If still concerned, you could post just the month (ex: April 2013) instead of full date. Since you are using the forum ID, your identity is not revealed at all and remains safe. Let me remind all of you that this sign-up log is to help other applicants to estimate (1) lead time between sign-up and shipping, (2) MOS trend, and (3) regional sign-up trend (ex: which area recruiters are more willing and capable). It is totally voluntary and (if you feel uncomfortable) you don't have to participate.

    I enlisted as a soldier of the United States Army on 20121101. I am going to be shipped to Basic Combat Training followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC on 20130325. I will be serving the country for 4 years as an active duty finance management technician (MOS 36B). Thank you to those who have supported me for the last 25 months. I will keep striving to become a better person everyday. Hooah!
